BEIN Sports in English?

beIN Sports USA is a pay-TV sports network that primarily broadcasts high-level football, featuring exclusive coverage of Ligue 1, along with content from other European leagues. In addition, beIN Sports broadcasts matches from sports such as rugby, motor racing, handball, motorcycling, tennis and volleyball. It is a subsidiary of the Qatari media network beIN.

beIN Sports USA was launched on satellite provider DirecTV on 16 August 2012, coinciding with the start of the European Football Leagues 2012-13 season. beIN launched on Dish satellite network the next day before being added to cable giant Comcast on September 6, 2012. Verizon FiOS added beIN Sports in March 2013.

In 2016, beIN Sports reached an agreement with Conference USA to carry selected football, basketball, baseball and softball matches, this agreement expired after the 2018-19 season and was not renewed Also in 2016, beIN Sports began showing matches from the North American League football.

In August 2018, several major TV providers dropped the network, including AT&T (both DirecTV and U-verse), Verizon Fios, and Xfinity. 

In October 2018, the WTA Tour returned the broadcast rights to The Tennis Channel. Her contract with BeIN (as part of a broader international deal) has been criticized by fans for limiting access to events, citing the inconsistent and intermittent schedule due to conflicts with international football, and reduced transfers. 

In 2019, BeIN Sports launched BeIN Sports Xtra, a 24/7 live streaming extension of the BeIN Sports brand that allows fans to watch select games for free and broadcasts other sports-related programming, such as highlights.  Service available on FuboTV, Sling TV, Pluto TV, Roku Channel, Vizio, Redbox, Samsung TV Plus, Fanatiz, Klowd TV, Xumo and available through over-the-air TV stations in select markets .
